We are incredibly grateful for the many strong relationships that exist between PFC, the chaplains and program staff in correctional institutions throughout Ontario. As a result, the depth of our ministry opportunities continues to grow.
In Southern Ontario, PFC’s in-prison teams minister to prisoners in Windsor, Kitchener, Hamilton, Milton, Etobicoke and Scarborough. The majority of these teams are using PFC’s The Journey program to engage in restorative ministry. In 2019, new teams are being mobilized to launch or expand in-prison PFC programming in London, Milton and throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
We are also seeking to hire a new full-time Regional Director for Southern Ontario who will further engage with existing and new ministry partners including our current 200 local church partners, volunteers, donors and correctional staff. This work is currently being absorbed by the National Head Office. The introduction of PFC’s Sycamore Tree Project restorative justice program has also created further momentum for PFC throughout the province. In 2019, PFC is planning to run this program in federal institutions in Kitchener, Gravenhurst and the Kingston area, and is actively recruiting mature individuals with a heart for restorative ministry to facilitate this program locally.
PFC has active volunteer Chapter in Kitchener and Windsor. Active ministries include our In-Prison and Angel Tree Christmas programs.
PFC has active Chapters in Milton, Hamilton, Etobicoke and Lindsay. Active ministries include our In-Prison, Aftercare, Angel Tree Christmas and Angel Tree Camping programs.
PFC has active Chapters in Ottawa and Brockville. Active ministries include our In-Prison, Angel Tree Christmas and Angel Tree Camping programs. We also have emerging partnerships with other local ministries collaborating around aftercare support for ex-offenders.
