New Inmate Education Program at Bowden Institution

PFC is excited to inform you that a new chapter has begun at Bowden Institution. We will be introducing a new moral rehabilitation educational program through PFC’s “In the Loop,” an activity which grants small scholarships to inmates for Biblical studies. We have invited Prairie Bible Institute to partner with us on this initiative. This new program involves Christian education, character formation, and opportunities for inmates to reflect on their offence and seek restoration.

If you would like to be part of this initiative, there will be an initial volunteer orientation at Bowden in August. In addition, there will be a meeting for the volunteers at Prairie Bible College in late August. It is expected that the program will commence early September. If anyone is interested in this opportunity, please contact Tony at (403) 505-1663, or at (403) 836-0740. We would also appreciate your prayers.

Tony Preaches at Bowden Sunday Chapel

Chaplain Bud Sargent at Bowden Institute recently went on holidays and asked Tony Hilling, PFC’s Regional Rep for Alberta, to preach at the chapel service on July 24, 2016. Tony preached a message from Luke 11:9-13 titled “Trusting God with all of our Lives.” Tony was greatly impacted by the devotion of the inmates during the worship time and had the privilege of praying with a number of the inmates. It was a wonderful time of worship.

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” – Luke 11:9 (NIV)
