Events

We pray that in the search for peace, prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families would intersect with the person of Jesus! Greater than any philosophy; any substance, or any purported magical cure, we pray for encounters with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

In prisons where healthcare staff and resources are not at the same standard as in the community, we ask the Lord to especially meet prisoners with the power of divine healing. May power go out from the hem of His garment to every prisoner longing after a healing touch.

We pray for returning citizens and ask the Lord to order their days in the pathway of restoration. It can be overwhelming to consider all the things that need to be done once they return, but we pray that the Holy Spirit would direct their thoughts toward hearing Your voice, and trusting in Your leading.

We ask the Holy Spirit to inspire local churches to rise to the occasion in offering spiritual community to returning citizens through PFC’s Bridgecare Mentorship program. We ask for mentorship teams for women in: Toronto, Brampton, Hamilton, and St John’s; and for men in Toronto, Barrie, St John’s and Winnipeg.

We ask the Holy Spirit to inspire local communities with new innovative, affordable, and long-term housing solutions. To help alleviate the issues of crime in our society, we pray for established solutions for housing, gainful employment, and healthy community for returning citizens.

We remember all of the supportive families today who are serving something of a sentence themselves while walking with incarcerated loved ones and ask the Lord to be their comfort, their peace, their rest, their joy, their provider, their God and their Saviour.

We ask the Lord to release all of those who are now ready to move forward onto the next stage of their journey. May our ceilings become our floors as we ask the Spirit to shatter the foundations of what we previously held to be possible by helping us to see what is still yet […]

Teach us, oh Lord, to live our lives with hearts and minds continually stayed upon you. Guide us in every thought, so that we may find the ancient pathways that lead us to the deepest longings fulfilled. Energize our resolve by helping us to always be mindful of Your goodness beyond comprehension.

We ask the Lord to stir up every child in Your kingdom with a proper understanding of our identity and spiritual authority in You. Lord, we’ve seen You bring about restorative justice all throughout Your Word and history, and we ask that You turn your attention toward the Canadian prison population. We pray that those who are seeking to see Your justice abound would learn of You and comprehend how You are working in their lives.

Lord, we lift up those relationships that are strained due to the distance created by crime and incarceration. We ask that You employ creative ways to repair the breach in relationships during this time. Inspire letter writing, conversation through phone calls, and open new avenues for connection.

With imprisonment, separation from loved ones, loss of income, and so many other factors at the forefront of the minds of those going through the judicial system, we pray for etched out times for reflection, and connection to healthy spiritually minded community. We call out to God and ask Him to send His Holy Spirit into the hearts of prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families, destroying the yoke of slavery to sin, and reconciling the connection to life eternal. We pray for an outpouring of gifts of the Spirit that follow, equipping the saints for service in prisons.

We lift up our Canadian government and ask God to bless every leader with the wisdom of God. We ask the Holy Spirit to impart ‘wisdom from above’ over every decision that is made regarding our country and its policies. We pray that God would align our earthly government with His Heavenly Kingdom.

We are grateful to God for His leadership of PFC ministry through the vision and direction of our President & CEO, Stacey Palmer. We ask the Lord for an outpouring of wisdom, grace, strength, and alignment in navigating the changes that lay ahead.

Father, we pray that those incarcerated do not just ‘do time,’ but that they use this season to grow. Remove their hearts of stone and give them hearts of flesh, molding them into the people You designed them to be.

We ask the Lord to prepare the hearts of both the incarcerated and their families for the day of release. Make the transition smooth, provide opportunities for employment, and reconcile relationships so they can successfully reintegrate into society.

Lord, we pray for the chaplains, staff and volunteers who step into the prisons. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them divine wisdom to share the Gospel effectively, and protect them from burnout and discouragement.

Lord, we pray for the correctional officers, wardens, and staff who work in the facilities. Grant them patience, wisdom, and the ability to act with compassion and fairness, maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

In the midst of incarcerated, many can feel isolated, sad, and anxious. We pray that God would uphold and uplift prisoners from hopelessness, depression, and anxiety. We ask that He would give them a will to be well and a hunger for His Word.

We pray that incarceration leads to a powerful heavenly-minded shift in perspective for prisoners. We pray that they would begin to see their time away as something valuable and meaningful in affording them the opportunity to develop a deeper relationship with their Creator.

We pray that the entire Canadian Christian church community would begin to see all the different areas in which the local church plays a huge role in the journey of restoration and we ask the Holy Spirit to provide affirmation and confirmations for many to be released to fulfill this calling.

We ask the Lord to grant PFC favour with wardens, administration, program staff and other corrections departments. We pray for open doors for faith-based programs to expand and reach more men and women behind bars. We pray that PFC would be a household name among prisons.

We pray for wisdom in developing new strategies for navigating our daily workload that effectively work into our workflow for rolling out the ministry. May the Lord provide strategies and resources to streamline our processes so we may turn our attention to other crucial developments.
