Cynthia d’Entremont

Regional Manager, Atlantic Canada

At about ten years of age, Cynthia heard of “Victor” through a song sung by a guest at her church. Victor, a pastor in the Soviet Union, had been imprisoned because of his Christian faith. Victor’s story stayed with her, and Cynthia prayed for him daily over the next two years until she learned he was released.

Psalm 107:2 begins with “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story,” and Cynthia grew up in a family rich with stories of God’s redeeming love. She earned a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education from Mount Saint Vincent University. Alongside her work as an educator, she participated in local, national, and international prayer and ministry events and is an ordained minister in Nova Scotia. Cynthia’s love of stories eventually led her to write fiction and study further at the University of King’s College.

After facilitating a writing workshop for Christian teachers in Zambia, Cynthia realized her passion for teaching had shifted to a desire to work full-time in a faith-based organization where stories about Jesus Christ could be openly shared. Becoming an Angel Tree Christmas sponsor would unknowingly be the first small step to Cynthia joyfully joining the team at Prison Fellowship Canada.
