When a loved one is incarcerated, their family often feels the impact alongside them, carrying the
overwhelming weight of uncertainty, helplessness, and isolation. Family members may struggle with feeling disconnected from the person they love while facing a reality that few around them truly understand. We recognize the need to support these families during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives.

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

Our Family Phone Line connects adult family members with trained Prison Fellowship Canada (PFC) volunteers, providing a safe space for spiritual and practical support, as well as a listening ear.

Prison Fellowship Canada’s Family Phone Line offers a tollfree number that adult family members can call between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM in every Canadian time zone to connect with our trained volunteers

BRIDGECARE DIRECTORY

With the click of a button, individuals can connect with over 1,800 organizations across Canada providing practical support and resources for families affected by a loved one’s incarceration.

3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Testimonies

« This program helped me grow, and forgiveness is a big part of that. It helped me move forward with the healing process – that things are working properly, inside. »

« I was so filled with shame that I wasn’t able to open up and have a normal relationship with anyone. Sharing with the victim really freed me and now, thanks to the program, I feel I can be vulnerable and real in a relationship. »

Sycamore Tree helped me better understand the victim and how many people I affected. It has changed the direction of my life. I know how to express myself better. I am learning to think things through before reacting.
