We ask the Lord to turn his face towards the Bridgecare program and bless Prison Fellowship Canada with access, opportunity, support, and resources to expand our reach and response to supporting ex-prisoners and curbing recidivism through the efforts of the Bridgecare Mentorship program.

We thank the Lord for the clients seeking community connection through PFC’s Bridgecare Mentorship program, and we pray that the Lord would continue to provide encouragement for each one on their reintegration journey through open doors of employment and great connection to a local church.

Today we lift up the physical phone hardware in institutions across Canada and ask the Lord to inspire an initiative in correctional facilities that allows for dated or broken phones or phone parts to be replaced. We also ask the Lord to equip institutions with the necessary technology needed for prisoners to access all helpful resources.

In the same way that many writers of the Scriptures were not strangers to incarceration, we pray that prisoners who the Lord has set apart for His divine calling will find their way to greater spiritual support through PFC’s various programs. May they find an affirmation of their calling and purpose in life.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will develop a deep desire for reading among PFC volunteers all across Canada; not only for the Word of God, but also for ancillary books (like PFC’s recommended reading) that has helped to shape our understanding of the work and related issues that we’re involved in.

We pray for those PFC by Phone volunteers who serve across the country making the phone line available to prisoner callers from 9am to 9pm and ask the Lord to bless each one with meaningful interactions on their calls. We pray that those who need encouragement will find it in Him.

We’ve prayed month after month for the Holy Spirit to speak to prisoners through dreams. But today we pray that the Holy Spirit would receive just a single, powerful, yoke-breaking Word for prisoners through their dreams. May we see the testimony of this answered prayer through the feedback that volunteers provide.

We thank the Lord for this open door of effective ministry and for the volunteers involved in this deeply restorative work. May the Spirit lead week to week, giving insight, with an attentive eye for the significant details to assist us in facilitating restoration and a restoration of identity.

Today, as we visit two institutions that face stigmatization in completely different ways, we pray that our presence there will be tangibly felt.
