Lord, bless the Angel Tree families this year, not only with gifts from incarcerated parents, but also with a greater connection to the local church programs for kids, Bible studies for caregivers, encouragement through practical community support, and a welcome fit for royalty into the family of Christ.
We pray for the continued restoration of Indigenous communities through the Way, the Truth, and the Life that Jesus is. We pray that the hurts that indigenous communities have suffered for far too long find resolve and healing through the reality of Jesus as he actually is, and not through the lens of the poor historical examples.
We thank the Lord for how He leads, stretches, and nurtures our growth year to year. We lift up the start of our new fiscal year and pray for more open doors and opportunities to develop and teach about relational ministry approaches with volunteers, churches, and institutions across Canada. We thank the Lord for the PFC by Phone volunteers who serve consistently on the phone lines each week. May the Lord repay their faithful service with testimonies of His goodness through these conversations. May each volunteer also find special encouragement during times when there doesn’t appear to be as many calls.
We thank the Lord for the wonderful ways He partners with us to make His goodness known to prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families across Canada. We thank the Lord for open doors to facilitate PFC’s Walking the Good Path, The Forgiveness Journey, and The Re-Entry Journey in-prison programs. We ask the Spirit to lead and refine every area of Prison Fellowship Canada. Continue to help us to recognize the things that need to be cut away in order for those areas which are bearing much fruit to grow in even greater measure. Send your refining fire and cleanse us, oh Lord.
We ask the Lord to use us in a whole new way in the institution today. We pray for supernatural revelation into the blockages of those who we will be meeting at today’s pre-release fair. May the Lord use us to be agents of reconciliation, bringing healing, support, and restoration to those we encounter.
We lift up in-prison program facilitators all across Canada and ask the Spirit to fill each one with boldness when they speak. We pray for the powerful Word of God that has been planted into the hearts of prisoners and ex-prisoners through our various PFC curriculums, and we ask the Lord to continue to cultivate that Word until it grows up to bear much fruit. May the Lord protect His Word in each heart. Let it not […]
We pray that the people of God would be challenged under sound teaching to consider the biblical definition of justice in their pursuit of it. We pray that the Holy Spirit will turn the Canadian christian church community’s conversation toward this topic, and help believers everywhere to begin considering how they can be a part […]
We lift up prisoner worship in music and song and we pray that the Holy Spirit would work in the midst of each heart to receive from the things of God. We know that God does many wonderful things in us through worship, we pray prisoners experience these things in abundance.
We pray for a special camaraderie between volunteer Bridgecare team members whom the Holy Spirit brings together. Let them walk be united in spirit and in truth so that their connection to their client is strong, stable, and ministers deeply. We pray for God’s covering over these partner teams.
We ask the Lord to raise up spiritually mature volunteers who can fill the three evening openings that we currently have at Maplehurst Correctional Complex. May they be available to facilitate one of our in-house Bible studies. May the Lord make it clear to us who He has set apart for these assignments.
We pray that the Lord would raise up many bilingual volunteers to help support our PFC by Phone Federal line. We pray that God would remove any barriers to these volunteers getting cleared by Correctional Services Canada to serve on the lines. We ask the Lord for a flood of English/French volunteers.
